Tires

Check your tire pressure as the weather gets colder. The cold air deflates your tires and makes your vehicle less fuel efficient. It also means your tires will have more wear on them as time goes by. Make sure to check your tire pressure as well as if you need new tires for winter.

Fluids

Wiper fluid is a very important thing to have in the winter. In the summer, you need wiper fluid for bugs, but in the winter, you’ll need it for slush and snow. You need to see clearly on the road and wiper fluid will help improve your visibility. Also, make sure your wipers are doing the proper job so you can see in front of you.

Fuel Tank

Maybe you’ve heard some horror stories about how somebody’s car couldn’t work because the gasoline in the fuel tank was frozen. This happens when there isn’t enough gasoline in the car. The best way to avoid this is by refueling often. You don’t need to refuel every day, but making sure you have at least a quarter tank of gasoline is good. However, having at least half a tank is the safest way to prevent this from happening.
